Dalian Precision Rotating Union Company, Dalian China, the world’s leading manufacturer of rotating unions essential to all engineering processes.  Their new facility in Dalian, China is a 150,000 GSF complex that includes a flexible manufacturing hall, office, conference spaces, dining and fitness facilities. The building integrates office, engineering and manufacturing into one connected unit for efficiency in operation as well as speaking to the value the company places on its employees. The long span manufacturing hall integrates structure and mechanical systems to allow flexibility for this predominantly robotic process as well as to allow in maximum daylight and views for the employees. The planning is rigorous yet promotes connection within the facility and outside of it with open spaces for the employees that connect to a large public park with views of the surrounding coast line and the surrounding mountains.
